Advanced Diagnostics

Early detection is key when it comes to treating your pet, and our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with comprehensive in-house veterinary diagnostics, including radiology and ultrasound services. These technologies allow us to diagnose your pet quickly and accurately, providing you with priceless peace of mind.

Depending on the reason for your pet’s visit, we might recommend digital X-rays, or radiographs. X-rays use electromagnetic radiation directed towards the body to highlight objects within. They can detect abnormalities including skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, foreign bodies, and dental disease.

Ultrasound is another powerful diagnostic tool at our disposal. Ultrasound creates a real-time image of an animal’s body. This composite reveals important information about internal processes including the circulatory, skeletal and gastrointestinal systems. It can be used to identify disease, blockages, skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, and other internal injuries.

Endoscopy involves the use of small cameras, which can be guided throughout your pet’s body via small incisions or naturally existing orifices, such as the nose, vagina, bladder, and ear way. Endoscopy is most often used to diagnose issues of the gastrointestinal tract, but, by fitting the cameras, or endoscopes, with specialized instruments, we can even take biopsies when appropriate.

Answers when you need them

Having a fully-equipped diagnostic suite on-site means that our doctors can get a diagnosis as quickly as possible. The faster a diagnosis is achieved, the faster a treatment plan can be made. This means your pet is on the road to recovery in a hurry!

Veterinary diagnostics aren’t just for ill or injured pets, either! Routine diagnostics for senior pets are instrumental in monitoring their health and detecting any abnormalities early on. We recommend that all senior pets have blood work done at least once per year.
